Sorry, Heather, wrong again. This Robert's parents were Hugh JAMIE, weaver, and Janet Jamie m.s. BOYD, according to his 1862 death registration. That couple married 10 June 1786 in Loudon, Ayrshire. Here is a link to the GENUKI info (includes historical data) from 1837 Pigot's for Catrine. "An 1837 description of Catrine, Sorn and Mauchline, including a listing of the key personalities of the towns, is given in this extract from Pigot's Directory for Ayrshire. The transcript was provided by Keith Muirhead <muirhek@harveynorman.com.au> from the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. Jo-Ann & others This marriage of Hugh Jamie and Janet Boyd are in the 1981 IGI for Scotland with Batch number 7303630 and serial number 26. I assume in the Parish of Loudon, but no town is given. This would appear to be an Jamie family tree as the number does not come up in the 1994 IGI for Boyds down to Margaret So Heather this may help you to check out this Batch number. Jo-Ann (and Heather), do you have any more details of this Janet Boyd and Hugh Jamie's family please so I can add it to other Boyd families in Volume 16 of Clan Boyd of Scotland Thank you Mike Boyd Historical Committee House of Boyd society ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jo-Ann Croft" <jecroft@att.net> To: "Heather Grimwood" <heather.grimwood@xtra.co.nz>; <Ayrshire@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 27, 2010 9:06 AM Subject: Re: [AYR] JAMIE Sorry, Heather, wrong again.
