    1. [AYR] Boyd of Carncullagh, County Antrim
    2. Mike Boyd
    3. I am currently replying to a query of a William Boyd and Jane Kain who were married in the Carncullagh Presbyterian Church in 1846 when I found reference to a book Annals of the Parish of Derrykeighan, Rev Hugh McNeil, 1993, pp 14-15, Archibald Boyd of Carncullagh. At present I can’t find the folder that has this information on this Archibald Boyd and what period it might apply for or it it might link to William Boyd who was born in 1824. So do any list members have access to this book and could they provide some of the data on Archibald Boyd of Carncullagh. Could you include Susan Cicala (Email [email protected]) as I do not think that she has joined either net list as yet. Thank you Mike Boyd Historical Committee, HBS

    1. [AYR] Photographic Studio in Ayr 19th Century
    2. Robyn Clarke
    3. Hello All, This is my first time here and I'm trying to help a friend. He has a family portrait photograph of 4 daughters and parents with no identification except the name of the Studio which appears to be OCTRIN STUDIOS AYR. The period we are guessing is around late 19th century early 20th century. The 4 young adult daughters are wearing light summer dresses with short sleeves, the father has a dark suit with a dark long tie and high collar. The Mother is wearing a dark dress, low round neckline, long dark lace sleeves with a broach in the centre of the neckline. Would anyone know the names of any studios in the Ayr district around this period. TIA Robyn Clarke Australia
