Looked in familysearch.org for her, listing birthplace as UK. Didn't find her but all of the Stevens births were in England. Could she have been born there?
familysearch.org only has births indexed up to about 1872 in most areas of Scotland. They did most of their original indexing in the 1950s and the laws in various countries relating to the age of records that could be made public restrict what you can view online. I have found her on scotlandspeople. She was born in 1881 as Marion Kay Young in Galston, Ayrshire. Stevens was not her birth surname. There was no official adoption procedures or records in Scotland until the 20th century, so if her father is not named on the record you will be at a dead end. Just do a search on scotlandspeople for Marion Young, b 1881 in Galston. You will be able to purchase and view/download the birth registration image immediately. Jo-Ann Croft
Do any members of these list know what is going to happen in June 2014 with the 700th Anniversary of Bannockburn? I have heard that Stirling Council will be organising some event? However, I am not sure if there will be Games including Clan tent event like the Clans Gathering at Edinburgh – which I attended. When I was at the Woodland, CA Games at the end of April 2012, the Wallace Tent which was next to the Boyd tent, said they had 200 people already booked into accommodation. I am the Great Great Granddaughter of Henry and Mary (Wright) Dodd. Their daughter Mary (according to my family letters) was married to a man named William McCallum who was a gamekeeper. They could be related somehow but the other names in your post are unfamiliar to me. Unfortunately, I'm finding Dodd to be a very popular name in that area. There are, also, many families named Dodd that came from Westmoreland England and that's where my 2 great grandfather Henry was initially born before moving to Ayrshire and marrying Mary.
