I'm guessing....couldn't read or write, so the name went from Ayotte, to the phonetically spelled, Iotte. He had two children, Estella May b. 1900 and Manuel I think b.1903 in Cohasset Ma. Estella had 3 children, my mother, Uncle Sonny and Auntie Lorraine there's no one by that name on my side....I don't know of one on Uncle Manuel's side, but I don't know a lot about that family. Except to say that I think some of them have gone back to the original spelling of Ayotte. Uncle Manuel Iotte's would be the only family of Iottes that I'm aware of, but there are Ayottes spread far and wide. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
