I'm not related in any way, but wanted to post it in case it is helpful to someone. Source, Lowell Sun Lowell MA October 26, 1972 Adelard Ayotte ..father of former mayor of Lowell Adelard Ayotte, 91, husband of Mrs. Anna (Decelle) Ayotte, of 59 Crawford St., died yesterday at St. Joseph's hospital. Born in St. Narcisse, P.Q., Canada, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Frigon) Ayotte. He resided in Pawtucketville the greater part of his life and he was a founding member of Ste. Jeanne d'Arc church where he held membership in the parish Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Catholic Foresters for over 50 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist by the Massachusetts Mills. Surviving him, besides his wife, are three sons, George A. Ayotte, former Lowell mayor, of Tyngsboro; Wilfred A. Ayotte and Robert J. Ayotte, both of Dracut; six daughters, Mrs. Aura Barry and Mrs. Harvey (Cecile) Paquin of Lowell, Mrs. Irene Balbaton of Central Falls, R.I.; Mrs. Louis (Jeannette) Lacroix and Mrs. Normand (Claire) Desilets, both of Lowell, and Mrs. Robert (Therese) St. Hilaire of Livermore, Calif; a sister, Rev. Sister Mar! ie Almede, S. N. J. M. of Montreal, P.Q.; 24 grandchildren, and 47 great grandchildren.
