"Dick" Ayotte Sr. 75, of Steams Apartments passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Cadyville, N.Y., on Feb. 28, 1926, the son of Ovila and Edith (Riel) Ayotte. Richard had worked as a truck driver for various firms. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Frances (O’Dell) Ayotte of Morrisonville; three daughters, Lillian Ayotte and Leona Carter both of Cadyville and Michelle Ayotte of Morrisonville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Connie Ayotte Jr. of Cadyville and Charles Ayotte of Port Henry; five grandchildren, Nathan Ayotte, Joshua Ayotte, Rebecca Ayotte, Stephen Carter and Jeremy Carter all of Cadyville; two sisters, Esther Reyell of Plattsburgh and Clara Agoney of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by a daughter, Melody Ann in infancy; and two brothers, Donald and Mitchell Ayotte. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Park Row Cadyville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora, with the Rev. John Looby, pastor, celebrating. Interment will be at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
