I just looked to see if I could find some information for you from the Heritage Quest Census, as I know how difficult it can be to establish family connections if you do not have detailed information. Please keep me informed should you find any related information, as I have been looking for many years to compile bits of informaton. What I would suggest is to check out these various sites and once you find the information- you will need to find paper documentation to verify the posted informaton. There are various fees associated with this documentation, but it is the only way to certify that the posted information is correct. If you check the Family Search site, for the 1881 Canadian census you will find that there are many Ayotte families and they are BIG families! The line that I am looking at came from was in St. Tite, Champlain, Quebec . You can also search this site by using the various spellings of the name. I have been very busy, but when I can find some time I will look through the Heritage Quest Census again, and see what I can find for you from the iotte spellng. I am currently trying to establish further information regarding the relationship of James Cadotte/Permilia Ayotte and John (Adolphe) Cadotte. I know that John was witness to James and Permilia's wedding, as I have found this documentation. Did you see this post? If not, please check this out... http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AhB.2ACEB/203.1.2 Good Luck with your searching !
