Elizabeth and Joseph were married but not sure whenmaybe in Canada!!!!! Joseph (b. Jan 16, 1895) died on Nov 3, 1903 from a fall from a train in RI. I have death cert. and any other info you need I have. Henry married a second time to Gloria Barre in around 192-1926.... I dont have an exact date since I dont know if they married in RI or MA. Gloria had two sons from what I would assume a previous marriage, and Henry adopted them!!!! One was Ernest Ayotte and Walter Ayotte. Henry and Gloria moved to Coventry, RI and then Florida where they both died. I have a copy of Henry's will......He died 1984 and she died 1970 (the year I was born). I am to assume that you are a daughter or grand-daughter of Mary Alice O'Gorman-Ayotte. I am from Gloria Barre-Ayotte.

John B. Johnson, my grandparents), and great work by Wendy Plunkett has established that Lynne's grandfather, Joseph Ayotte (b. about 1819), a Canadian immigrant to the US, was living in Pulaski County, Illinois at the time of the 1860 census -- under the surname Hyatt. Joseph's wife was Mipomene (sp?), MNU; children included Horall (sp? -- male, later known as "Orral," Lynne's father), Alexander, Amelia, Francis, Joseph (m. Rachel or Rahal, MNU, in southern IL in 1880 then moved to Arkansas), Clarissa, and apparently Philemon. I know that Horall/Orral and Joseph _fils_ reverted to the Ayotte spelling later, but don't know about the others. Some of them might have retained the Hyatt spelling, or invented a new one. Is there any possibility that you might have members of this family, whether under the surname Ayotte or Hyatt? Thanks for any help; I'd love to trace this line back to the original Monsieur Thomas Hayot.

I just looked to see if I could find some information for you from the Heritage Quest Census, as I know how difficult it can be to establish family connections if you do not have detailed information. Please keep me informed should you find any related information, as I have been looking for many years to compile bits of informaton. What I would suggest is to check out these various sites and once you find the information- you will need to find paper documentation to verify the posted informaton. There are various fees associated with this documentation, but it is the only way to certify that the posted information is correct. If you check the Family Search site, for the 1881 Canadian census you will find that there are many Ayotte families and they are BIG families! The line that I am looking at came from was in St. Tite, Champlain, Quebec . You can also search this site by using the various spellings of the name. I have been very busy, but when I can find some time I will look through the Heritage Quest Census again, and see what I can find for you from the iotte spellng. I am currently trying to establish further information regarding the relationship of James Cadotte/Permilia Ayotte and John (Adolphe) Cadotte. I know that John was witness to James and Permilia's wedding, as I have found this documentation. Did you see this post? If not, please check this out... http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AhB.2ACEB/203.1.2 Good Luck with your searching !

Thomas and Isreal married sisters, Phoebe and Theresa FORTIER, respectively.

When I can find time.. (I work 2 jobs) I will certainly check this out on the Heritage Quest Census. This census is available through the usage of a Public Library Card. I have also recently met a relative (Ayotte) who had compiled Ayotte lineage. I will contact him regarding your Israel. Maybe he has this information already, and I can possibly connect the two of you. Best wishes and I will be in touch. - Beth
