She didn't die until 1940. This is reassuring that there are other Isreal's out there because I know how family names are shared. Maybe your Isreal is an uncle to mine. This is definately worth looking into.

This shows an 1859 immigration date (from Canada) . He was living with wife Marie and adopted son, Joseph. I'd look at the Ancestry and Root Web boards for Israel Ayotte. I remember seeing a later entry for an Israel Ayotte. If you should find any more information which links the Ayottes/Cadottes/Cossettes, would you please contact me. Thanks.

Her parents were Theophile Ayotte born july 27, 1849 in St. Stanislas, Three Rivers. He died in my home town of Ishpeming, Michigan on December 6, 1920. He married Julie Cossette on June 15, 1870 in St. Tite, Champlain. He left this area and came to Upper Michigan somewhere around 1900. I do have Permilia's line back to Thomas Hayot and will be glad to give it to you...send me an E-Mail...Gary

My grandfather was Nurceis Iotte whose father was Freeman (Fierman) Iotte, a Hudson's Bay trapper (middleman) who married Louisa Agneis Bilum. I have searched endlessly for his parents but never found them. Nurceis had three wives, 1) Maybell or Mabel Ethel Hunter, md. 28 Sep 1987, 2) Emma Armstrong Conkle, md. 30 Oct 1915, 3) Emma Nyberg Ostrom, md. 6 Jan 1937.k Mabel divorced Nurceis who at some point sent my father Clarence Leslie Iotte (preferred Eugene for middle name) to live with Mabel in Portland, Oregon and who married a fireman with the Brooks surname by which my father was known and I was born with. Let me know what other information you need and will gladly share what I have with you. I do have copies of some vital statistics for this line. Am anxious to connect Freeman to his parents so whatever help or direction you can give would be most greatfully appreciated. Thanks, George

We spent a weekend with him in Tupper Lake, NY and with his sister Mary(ayotte)Labarge, 90 yrs young old and his sister Margaret (ayotte)Burman-Fortune, 92 yrs young. There is longetivity in this line (Thomas Hayot).

Marie Genevieve Ayotte wife of Francois April had daughter Marie Catherine April who married Basile Dube in Kamouraska,Qc on July 16, 1786. His parents were Basile Dube and Louise Cote. Gary Ayotte and myself are at a dead end with regards to who the father of Joseph Ayotte is who married Mary Leahy. Gary has some typewitten pages of family info that was passed on to him from Napoleon Ayotte, who did quite a bit of research many years ago, and I also have a copy of this. It's been my intention to go down to Peterborough for research, I've just not made it there yet! I also am an Ayotte descendant on my father's side through his mother.
