I am sending this to all eight of my mail-lists. When MAISER broke ;-) .... ROOTSWEB stepped in and took ALL of the more than 1,000 lists that MAISER had .... AT NO CHARGE! But they did have considerable costs to be able to do this .... more than $6,000 to buy new equipment + many many hours of labor! Usually, to be able to have TWO lists on ROOTSWEB, the listowner must contribute $24 a year. That would be approximately $100 a year for my eight lists. I did not have to do that, but I still feel that $100 would be a BARGAIN for what we all receive. I am so glad that Brian & Karen (ROOTSWEB) had the money to invest in us. They are hoping that through contributions that they can get back some of the money they spent, but they are not requiring it, nor counting on it. Most people do not have alot of extra cash, but most do have an extra $1 - $5 that they would not miss. What I am proposing, is that everyone on my lists, IF THEY CAN, donate $1 -$5 to ROOTSWEB in the name of Larry Stephens who ran MAISER (without compensation). IF you want to do this ... you can send the money to me and I will send it in one BIG check to ROOTSWEB, or you can send it individually. If you send it directly, PLEASE donate it in the name of LARRY STEPHENS and your LISTNAME.
