My Great Great Grandfather George Avery was born 1764 in Bute Co., NC. He served one year in the Rev War, although the war was over. In his pension application he states that he enlisted in Edgecombe County, NC in August 1782 at the age of 18. After being discharged he lived for four or five years in Edgecombe County. In 1788 he married Elizabeth Allen. They later moved to Wilson County, TN. They had four sons and five daughters. The marriages of all are recorded in Wilson County. George Avery died 10 Jun 1853 at the age of 89 and Elizabeth died 27 Nov 1857 at the age of 92. They are buried at Chandler Cemetery near Leesville in Wilson County. I am trying to learn the parents of both George and Elizabeth. Arvil
