In searching for my ancestors in Ontario Canada, I came across a lot of Avery families and hope it will help someone. These towns were small so they were probably related. The information is from the 1861 census of Leeds and Yonge Townships, Leeds Co., Ontario Canada.The title of the columns are as follows: name, occupation, place of birth, religion, age at next birthday, sex, marital status. A question mark next to a name meant I could not read it. In some cases I wrote what I thought it was but it may not have made sense ( boys name for a female child). Names grouped together were together on the census. She was born in the United States about 1820, moved to Ontario Canada. About 1848, she moved back to the USA in St Lawence Co., NY. as Catherine Ladd. She was widowed during the civil war, remarried a Christopher Miller and lived the remaining years in Fulton Co., NY. If anyone has any info on her family, I'd appreciate the help. Lynn
