The Mormon Ancestral File has Elisha Avery (AFN: JRT1-3C), born Apr 6 1755 at Groton, New London, CT, son of Ebenezer Avery (b 1704) and Lucy Latham. This is not my direct Avery line, but I also have three Ebenezers in mine, so I had to work out the relationship of all these Ebenezer's to keep my own straight. The Ancestral File is in error concerning my Ebenezer (b 1760). They have him as a sibling of Elisha, however his mother was not Lucy Latham. Therefore I cannot vouch for this relationship and do not have anything else concerning Elisha. My Xerox copies of the Groton Avery Clan do not include Elisha. I think I just muddied the water here?
