Sorry this is an off topic message. I will do a thousand please forgive me's if you'd like but thought that this was important enough to spread the word. I received a letter the other day from out of the country. Since my husband's company does business out of country, I didn't think too much of it. Upon opening it, we discovered that it was a probable scam and contacted the FBI in Houston, TX and they knew all about it before we had said more than two sentences. They told us to just throw it away. Since others might fall for the scam and not think to call the FBI, I thought a warning on the web might be in order. The letter requests that you fax the following information to them in order to receive a portion of a very large sum of money. They want the name address of your "company" , a bank account number and the name of your bank. Something that I'm not inclined to give to anyone. I'm not going into detail as the FBI might be trying to catch the scammers. So, if you receive a letter asking for that information, either throw it away and warn your friends and neighbors, and/or notify the authorities. Again, sorry to be off-topic. Happy Thanksgiving and good luck in your research. ==== AVERY Mailing List ==== Unsubscribe? Send the message UNSUBSCRIBE to: AVERY-L-request@rootsweb.com or ....
