Thompson AVERY was born about 1810 in Chenango Co NY son of Elisha AVERY and Bathia Thompson. Other children were: Chloe, Wales, Eveline, Elisha Jr and Jonathan.. Thompson married ist Amanda Reynolds and had son Charles. Amanda died and Thompson married a Betsy ?? and had son William H Avery born about 1840 NY and Frances. In 1860 La Salle and DeKalb Co IL census, Thompson and William were there. In 1863 Thompson married Jemima TRIPP. William H married Sarah A. TRIPP in 1865. In 1868 they were all in Benton Co Iowa and are buried there. I have the descendants from William H and Sarah that I will share if anyone has that line. I am interested in any info on Thompson AVERY and his parents Elisha and Bathia on back. Also on the the children of Thompson from his other marriages. Our AVERY List doesnt seem to get much information posted to it. I would like to see it get more active. Even if we only put little bits and pieces on it, we might help give someone a clue as to where to look next.
