Merle E. (Auvil) Cogar was the daughter of Okey Charles Auvil, Sr. This obituary was obtained from the archives of the Akron Beacon Journal. ~Jolene ================= Merle E. Cogar, 84, of Akron, passed away Jan. 16, 2000. A lifetime resident of the area, she had been employed by the Children's Home for 35 years, retiring in 1986, and was a member of Grace Cathedral. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Matlock and Carolyn Runyon, both of Akron; sons, Donald of Akron and Lee of Tallmadge.
