    3. Hi Diane -- All of the War of 1812 service and pension records are at the National Archives in Washington, DC. There is an index to pension files (not the service records) which was done by Virgil White. It's in 3 volumes. In it are the following: AUTRY, Robert (or Autery). Elizabeth (Till) 2nd wife, WC-20677, SC-15639, m. 27 Aug. 1840 Lowndes Cty AL, sd (soldier died) 5 Dec. 2876, srv Robert Cunninghma's & Crawford's Co's 8th Regt US Inf., lived Lowndes Cty, AL, 1st wife Polly [--?--] AWTREY, John, SC-16273, Martha (Moore) m 20 Jan 1820 Green Cty GA, srv John Downing's Co GA Mil, lived Macon & Montgomery Ctys AL, Troup Cty GA. You can check those land patents at the Bureau of Land Management Web page: http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/ Myra Vanderpool Gormley, CG Co-editor RootsWeb Review/Missing Links myravg@rootsweb.com
