I don't have a copy of the 1860 census of Crawford Co., Ark. However, there is an excellent INDEX of the 1870 Ark census of Northwestern Ark, which included Crawford and Pope (my county!) et al. Another volume has the 1870 census of North Central Ark--and there may be others. They list the heads of household and any other names; one can then look up the census. They are compiled by Martha Vaughn (1999)and were obtained from an outstanding genealogical group: Arkansas Research, PO Box 303, Conway, Ark 72033. I hope this helps. Hi Robert! I saw your reference to Pope Co. Autrey is my mother's family line but I am also researching my dad family and I have a set of g-grandparents that were born in Pope Co. I have been on the Pope Co. mailing list but as of yet have not receive any info helpful. I am looking for a Charles Van Ness(b.1867) and Jane Mullins(b. 1871)especially Jane. I have had a hard time finding any info on her.
