Dr. Brooks sent me corrections to the Autry book (thank you!). I have these scanned in, and you may view them at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~autry/corrections/ . -- Andréa Autrey Marshall Webmistress of the Autry Genealogy Page http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~autry/ My homepage http://www.dementedmind.com
Is this book available online? Thanks Andrea, even though none of these affect my part of the Culbreth line (which could use some updating). Your efforts, nonetheless, are appreciated. They are still interesting and in the cause of accuracy, I will print these out and put them with the book. Thanks for the corrections. I saved them, plus reduced them in order to print them out (after my husband showed me how) and put them in the book. This question is for anyone who wouldn't mind helping. Andrea's web page refers to various different variations of the name Autry. I am wondering about these names -Dautry, Dautery, Dautrey, Daughtry. I have Daughtry's in my Taylor line and wonder if they are really Autry's. I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this. Thank you ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andréa" <autrey@serv.net> To: <AUTRY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, February 01, 2002 3:03 PM Subject: [AUTRY] Corrections to Autry book Dr. Brooks sent me corrections to the Autry book (thank you!). This is an interesting question. My husband has Daughtreys and Daughtrys in his ancestry. The earliest location I have for them is Isle of Wight County, VA in the mid 1700s. They married into families of English descent and I have always assumed they came from England, but I don't really know. In fact, I don't know a lot about them other than some dates and locations.
