James Lindsay Autry, born 3-22-1838, son of William Henry Autry, was the person who help layout the town & worked to get it incorporated. Page 375, 408-409. William Henry Autry (page 350) descends from Newsom Autry, son of William Page Autry (Chapter 6), son of Cornelius. My husband descends from James Lindsay Autry's brother, John William Autry.
