Re: the Taylor query: In the first of the Bundy book(s), Cousin Mayo has a reference to an Auty in VA or NC before Cornelius the Immigrant. He also notes that there was one listed on an early ship to America. I don't know that he gives references to either of these. But they might be worth pursuing. I have always wondered at the significance of these listings. At that time, records are so poor and relationships are essentially invisible. Robert Autry Brooks
