State of Arkansas Sevier Court of Probate in ??? County of Sevier September 25, 1857 In the Matter of the Estate of On for grant of Hiram Autrey Sr decd By Letter of Admin on said John Owens Estate This day came John Owen of Sevier County and presented and filed the of James M Falkner in right of his wife Mary former Mary Autrey, Elizabeth Lynch, and John Autrey and Hiram A Autrey {this name written in above rest of sentence} Children and heirs of the said Hiram Autrey decd to their right to administer said estate and desired that Letters of Administration be granted to the said John Owens, ??? And therefore the said John Owens presented his petition for Letters of Administration on said Estate. Upon the reading and filing of it appears that Hiram Autrey Senr. late of said County of Sevier departed this life on the 9th day of September 1857 intestate, leaving John Autrey, Hiram Autrey, Mary Falkner and Elizabeth Lynch with four other heirs not known to said petitioner. That since the death of Said deceased said petitioner has purchased the interest of four of said heirs. In consideration whereof it is ordered by me Henry G Rinds. as clerk of said Court of Probate that John Owen be appointed administrator on said estate upon his making as required by Law and enter into bond to the State of Arkansas in the Sum of Four Thousand dollars. Conditions according to ??? the faithful discharge of his duties as such administrator with Stephan M Ola and Robert Larry as his securities. Whereupon the said John Owens made such affidavit and presented such bonds and was appointed administrator on the Estate of the said Hiram Autrey decd. And it is further ordered that said appointment and bond be presented to the Court of Probate at the next Term for Confirmation and Approval Teste H G Rind Clerk State of Arkansas Clerks office Sevier Court of Probate County of Sevier in September 25 1857 In the matter of the On petition to sell the Estate of Hiram A Autrey decd By personal property, belonging John Owens to said Estate. This day came said Admin and filed a paper writing in the words and figures as follows. Vi To the honorable Probate Court of Sevier County in of said Court Your petitioner John Owens Shows that he is the administrator on the Estate of Hiram A Autrey late of Said County of Sevier and State of Arkansas deceased. That said deceased died possessed of Considerable personal property that is running at large in the woods and liable to scatter about and become wasted and lost to said Estate. Said Estate consisting of Cattle Hogs Sheep, 3 or 4 horses. That said deceased owes some debts that it will be necessary to pay. Therefore our petitioner prays that an order of Court be granted him to sell some personal property in accordance to Law and in duty bound will ever pay & John Owens RECORD SEVIER COUNTY OF PROBATE Having Examined the Written petition of John Owens Admin of the Estate of Hiram A Autrey decd and being Satisfied that it would be to the interest of said Estate that the prayer of Said petition should be granted. It therefore ordered by me that the said Admin have leave to Sell the personal property belonging to Said Estate, giving the notice required by law and that this order together with the petition be entered Record by he Clerk in David Foran Judge S.F.C. Which petition and order is now here duly of Record in accordance with the afore order.
