I 've already answered you on the Sutton list but I am also interested in the Autrys from Sampson-Cumberland Co. Based on Mayo Bundy's book Descendants of cornelius Autry, I have been able to trace my husband's Autry line to William Autry, one of Cornelius' sons. My husband's "Autry grandfather", George W. Autry is a grandson of James William Autry, brother to the John Autry who purportedly was responsible for incorporating Autryville, NC. If you are related to Autrys in Sampson Co & Cumberland Co, you acquire a copy of the Autry book.
