    3. This is entirely speculative, but my 3-great grandfather John Autry son of Captain John Autry supposedly had two large families, one in SC with Betsy Rorie and the later one in Sumter Co, GA with Barbara Rebecca ("Bubby") McMillian widow of James Murphy. He used many of the same names in both families. This John P. could be a son of one of his male children born in SC, who I have down as Joseph, David James, Bethuel, and John. There may be a book out there with considerably more detail on this part of the family than I have... RW djonesrn@hotmail.com wrote: > There is a John P. 3. Information provided to me by others indicate that John Autry, the son of Captain John Autry, was married to Dolly Piper. I am not vouching for the accuracy of this information since I have not verified it myself, but wanted to toss it out here for discussion. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard White" <rw@pone.com> To: <AUTRY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, July 06, 2001 11:14 AM Subject: Re: John P.
