There are only 2 Sterling Autry's listed in 1850 (1) Autry, Sterlin .. Tennessee, Henderson Co., Ist. District, page 15 (2) Autry, Sterling ... N. C., Sampson Co., Northern District, page 371 Most likely your Sterling is the one in Henderson Co. Perhaps some Autry in earlier Henderson Co. is his parent..... I see a marriage for Aquilla Ann Pocahontas Autry, listed as his daughter, to a Rushel B. Pace in Madison Co. TN. on 16 Dec. 1873. on LDS search site.
