Robert, Thanks for the reply. I have no idea who Our John decended from or Elilzabeth. I know that on the church minutes for the Mars Hill Bapt Church of Oconee Co. Ga. there were several Autrey's as well as Bankston and Priscilla Hopkins who we are assuming was the mother of John Hopkins that married the Elizabeth Autrey. There were all there in 1799 when the Church was constitued. I cannot find my copy of the Minutes of the Church to see exactly which of the Autrey's are listed. I know there were several. Just as quickly as I locate the book, I will c heck it out and get an E-Mail off to you.
