He married a Martha smith. They were both born in NC and according to census records their parents were from NC as well. George and Martha had several children (not in birth order)- Mamie, Johnnie, Jimmie, Robert, Willie, Lillie, Mary, Margaret, and Julia who is my gggrandmother.
