The best available information that I'm aware of says that Captain John & Micajah were brothers, but in any case I don't think it possible to be descended from both... You need to determine who your grandfather's father was from a family Bible, census records, your grandfather's death certificate, or other records such as wills and land records... and work your way back to some point that you can tie into the published Autry lineage. That may or may not be possible. I have good documentation back to my 3-great grandfather John Autry and so far as I know my 3-great grandfather John Autry was a son of Captain John Autry... but I've never been very satisfied by the information that I have seen indicating that and wish that I had time & energy to really dig for documentation.
