Thank you everyone: I have confirmed and saved all censuses now from the San Antonio Library which do show without a doubt (based on the other children listed, dob and personal knowledge everything through William Joseph Autry I am positive he is my Great GrandFather. But I can find nothing to back up what the book says about him being the son of Jacob Brown Autry. I can find nothing on Jacob Brown Autry. I also am having a problem finding Tippah, Tenn I can only find a Tippah County, Miss Searching based on this sighting on page 203 in the book: Jacob Brown Autry 5. 1817 in Hardeman Co., TN d. 1865 in Tippah, TN m. 1st to Mary Temperance Tempe Embry b. 1820 d. 1848. 3 children. He m. 2nd in 1851 to Sarah Jane McMillan b. 1822 in TN and d. in TX. 3 children. Thanks to everyone for your help and guidance. Robert, on p. 8 of the book"The Family and Descendants of Captain John Autry" Jacob Autry s/o Captain John Autry and wife Elizabeth was born 1780 in Wilkes County, Georgia on Beaverdam Creek. Children: 1. William Autry 2. David 3.Lemuel 4. John 5. Thirsey 6. Mary 7. Jacob Brown b. 1817 Hardeman, Tennessee 8. James 9. Miles on Page 9 it gives all of Jacob Brown's children.
