    1. [AUTRY] Re: Micajah Autry Descendants
    2. Hello Robert; I can help you a bit on the Micajah Autry Descendants part, my family is directly descendant of him through his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Autry. In a nutshell, Micajah Autry and his wife Martha Wyche Putney Wilkerson, had 2 children that lived to adulthood named Mary Elizabeth Autry and James Lockhart Autry. Mary Elizabeth Autry was born 10 Feb 1827 on a plantation near Nashville, Tennessee and died 25 May 1915 in Beaumont, Texas. James Madison married Mary Autry 23 December 1844 in Holly Springs, Marshall County, Mississippi. She was 17 years old. Being a female, that line of Autry is no more. All her descendants became Greers. If you are interested in the lineage of this family please contact me personally. James Lockhart Autry was born 08 Jan 1830 and he died on 31 Dec 1862 in the first battle of Stones River at Murfreesboro, TN.. James was the Commader of the 27th Mississippi Regiment. He was married to Jeanie VALLIANT (daughter of Denton H. VALLIANT) on 16 Jun 1858 in TX. Colonel James L. AUTRY C.S.A and Jeanie VALLIANT had only one child - James L. AUTRY Jr. James was born b. Nov 4, 1859 and d. 1920 and married a lady by the name of Allie Kinsloe. in Corsicana, TX. They had two children - James Lockhart Autry III and Allie Mae Autry.
