Hi Robert, Since you live in San Antonio, you should check the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Library located on the Alamo grounds. Surely someone has done some research on Michijah's descendants. I don't know about John Autry, but Michijah Autry's descendants got a Texas land grant based on their father's service during the Texas Revolution. I would suspect that lots of women are members of the DRT based on their descent from Michajah Autrey. The only way you can verify your family story is to work back from your grandfather. Maybe that will lead you back to Michijah Autrey and maybe it won't. But it is the only way to verify the story, if it is true. Janey E. I was told that someone has done a book on our genealogy by someone in Corsicana Texas, but that it was not in print any longer and was never publicly published and that I might be able to find it in a library. Can Someone please give me resources so that I can confirm these items. Thank you, Robert L Autry ==== AUTRY Mailing List ==== Have you visited the Autrey Heritage page?
