The following messages were posted on earlier mailing lists and I would like to know if anyone has any information regarding the Alexander mentioned, who apparently had marital problems, and more than one wife......also a daughter named Mary Polly who married a Faught. This is my line of Autry's and I would sincerely appreciate any information you may have regarding. ---- From: Gentry <gentry@hal-pc.org> To: jimmy.b.cornett@MCIONE.com Subject: Re: Awtry Date: Tuesday, March 09, 1999 7:00 PM Hi, Good to hear from you again. Saw a Des Moines snowstorm on the weather last night and wondered if you were long gone!! My research has been somewhat splintered recently, as I began to get discouraged on the Autry line, and somewhat on Fords. I did digging back into Gentry and Allen lines, which didn't make much progress either. So now I'm feeling a bit like a dog chasing its tail. That is an interesting note from Terry, and I think he may be wiseing up. I've had feedback from him before in which he rather assumed his Alex was son of Capt. John. At least, now he says he's not for sure. Seems like we found something in church records that indicated a problem that Alex had with wives. I'm wondering if he married Margaret/Peggy before divorcing Martha. And left SC and that church for KY as a result. But the dau in no. KY is also confusing. Would have a hard time finding this now as my files are in a mess. Hope you are back to straighten this out soon!! Later, June >> ---- June: I had forgotten how close I am now to the where Mary/Polly Awtry and Faught got married in northen Kentucky. That will be one of the first things to investigate when I get back to looking. I would bet with all the lawsuits that Linda found in Ohio, ole Alex probably had some up here too. --- PS I apologize if anyone gets ths message twice. I sent it out yesterday and apparently it did not go out.
