Here's how that situation turned out with that pirate thing. I got the impression from this that Ancestry doesn't really care about this issue. Kan I sent the joker an e-mail demanding he remove the list containing my work from the tree. And now I will take it too you. I want everything he put on that contains any duplication of my work off the WFT. Also I have another list with my name that I can't seem to remove, 1463162. I would like that off also. Once this matter is settled to my satisfaction, I will discontinue all association with the WFT. Richard, Don't feel like you are the only one that has been duped by a pirate. One of my "cousins" (had never met her) asked me for my work that has been on going for the last ten years. I (dumbly) sent it to her and she posted everything all over WFT, Ancestry.Com and you name it, I didn't want it posted yet because there were some things in it I wanted to prove and back up with the deeds and papers. She entered it and said she had only been doing genealogy for 18 months or something like that. I really burned on that comment. So if you happen to see anything from jshorton its probably mine. I wasn't in on the beginning of this message so I don't know how or why it started. I can add something to this though. I also have had my work put on WFT and other sites. I tell everyone that not everything has been verified and I include it just to see if others can verify it or correct it. Unfortunately these people add it to the internet as is and others take it as fact and continue adding it to internet sites as there work. Some of this information is wrong. I have made corrections but this wrong information continues to perpertuate itself. This makes research for all of us very confusing when we try to put these families together. Right now my Autry family is a mess due to all the wrong information out there. Marlyne --- "JOHN D.
