After much thought, and encouragement from Dr. Robert Autry Brooks, I have decided to rewrite the "Descendants of Cornelius Autry, Immigrant, of Edgecombe County, and Neil Culbreth of Sampson County, North Carolina, and Allied Families." I will only be writing on the Autry's (all variations) and one generation of their descendants if they are women (because of the name change). So I will not be redoing the Culbreth section of the book. I will be putting this online (free!) as a searchable database, and will also have print copies available should anyone need them. I just got started on this last week, so it will be quite a while before I have the entire book typed in. I will be putting up photographs (online and in the book format), if anyone wants to send any in. I am willing to make changes to anything in the book, providing you have documentation and are willing to send me a copy. I will also be adding all of the Autry's I find all over the world -- so it will be much more of a "History of the Autrey Family," than just desc. of Cornelius. I do have written permission from Robert Autry Brooks, and would like any feedback you have about the old copies of the book, suggestions for the new book, and corrections/additions/subtractions you feel should be made. Remember, this is a huge undertaking, and I will not be done with it right away. I am typing in one family a night into the program I'll be using to create the book. I just wanted everyone to know so I can make sure I get this book right. If you have photographs you would like to send, please scan them in and I'll make sure they're in there. Same goes for newspaper articles, deeds, wills, etc. I'm off to work for now. Thanks to everyone for being the best group of genealogists I've ever had the opportunity to work with. Andréa
