    3. Could all of you please stop sending messages meant for (and important to) only individuals to the entire Autry-L list? For instance, we're not interested in who is or who is not ordering Christmas ornaments. Messages such as that should be between individuals. My mailbox is filling up each morning, and half of the messages have nothing to do with the rest of us. Please help or I will have to unsubscribe from this list! Thanks in advance.

    1. [AUTRY] Changes to the way responses will return on the list
    2. I agree with Cindy - there are a lot of accidental responses to the list that should be going to other people. I am going to switch the list over so that all responses go to the writer of the message, instead of automatically going to the list. Andrea

    2. Hi Suzanne! Thank you for ordering so many ornaments - I'll write your name down. Everyone will need to pay in November. I can't order until I reach the min. order of 50 ornaments. I knew you'd like Victoria - it's wonderful :) Andrea

    2. Hi Andrea---put me down for 6 ornaments and let me know when to send the $$$$$$$$$ Sorry to hear abooout the death in the family. We just got back last night from Vancouver. We did go to Victoria and I agree with you that it's uch prettier, though we had a really good time in Vancouver. If we ever go back it'd be to Victoria. Keep me posted on whether there are enoughh orders for the ornaments (I vote for Autry, Autrey, Aughtry.) Suzanne

    1. [AUTRY] information on the ornaments
    2. Per request, I have copied and pasted EXACTLY what is on the Christmas ornament page. You have to go to http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~autry/orn/ to see the examples. Christmas Ornaments for the Autrey's (all variations) I've been considering having ornaments made to be sold for Christmas 1999. I will NOT order these ornaments unless I receive enough money to cover costs. So if you give me your name, you one hundred percent HAVE TO send your money when it's time to send it in. The ornament: This is an example of what the ornament the design will be put on looks like. Our design will be in 22 k gold, just like this one. The ornament itself is porcelain, and comes with the ribbon for hanging on your wall, or on your Christmas tree. This photograph is NOT the design that is going on the ornament -- it's someone else's design, and I'm just using it for an example. The ornament beside it (the drawing) is the ornament for sale. It's many of the variations of the Autrey surname. When you order, please let me know what surname you want on there the most. That way, if I have to cut any of the surnames (for space reasons), I'll know which ones to spare. I feel this would be a wonderful way to join all the Autrey families together -- even those of us who have not proven a relation to each other. These would make wonderful gifts, as well as heirlooms to be cherished in the years to come. Contact me if you'd like to order an ornament. My e-mail address is autreygen@aol.com. How much will this thing cost? It costs $8.90 apiece for these ornaments, with a minimum order of 50. Then they ship it to me in a big box, and I have to pay shipping. Then, I have to ship them all out individually to everyone who orders one. So I have to pay for envelopes and even more shipping. My fiance says I have to add two dollars apiece for profit, in case one gets broken in the mail and I have to replace it. So in the end, they're probably going to be about $15 apiece. However, these ornaments have the potential to last for a really looooong time.

    1. [AUTRY] I will be gone until Sat. morning
    2. My fiance's grandmother died early this morning. As I will be leaving for Illinois early in the A.M., and will be gone until Sat. morning, the list will be temporarily unmoderated. I know you're all good people, and I trust that you will act in a mature and seemly fashion while I am gone. Anyone who does not will see something akin to the wrath of God when I get back, because I assure you I won't be in a good mood. Hope everyone has a better week than I am. Andrea, your normally not so grumpy list moderator.
