Looking for info on Will Autrey and his wife, Bertha Peckenpaugh. Probably born sometime between 1880 and 1912. They had children named, Carl, Clarence, Willa and Jeanetty. I believe they lived in the Rogers, Benton County, Arkansas area. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Annette Crafton Corbell

Howdy! It's that time of year again when the state of TX is looking for people that they owe them money. Check out: www.window.state.tx.us Over the years I have found people that I know and more that are/were distant relatives (deceased and one a possible ex-wife to a cousin). You might want to check surnames and see if any of your living/deceased relatives and friends are owed money. Ann P.S. The Ann Montgomery on the list is NOT me. :( ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

Yes, there are many Autry descendents that remain in the East. I am descended from William Page Autry and Drury Autry. My g-g-g-grandfather, John Slocomb Autry, was the child of Mary Autry (Newsom-William-Cornelius) and Daniel Autry, Sr. (Raiford-Drury-Cornelius). Much of my family yet remains in NC. I live in VA. Does anyone have information on this Indiana Autrey family? I believe they may be related to Kinchen Autrey (which is John Hoff's family - you may contact him at johnhoff3rd@email.msn.com). Please let me know what you think. Kinchen Autrey is the only other Autrey shown in the marriage and birth record book of Indiana. He is shown as having gotten married to Mary Ashford in the early 1800's (1830 something - I can't find the paper right now). The Kinchen Autrey listed as John Hoff's Kinchen Autrey is much too old to be that particular one, but Johns family did move into Indiana, so this Kinchen could perhaps be his son, and this Kinchen is just old enough to have been the father of my John Autrey. I appreciate any opinions you want to send my way. Descendants of John Autrey Generation No. 1 1. JOHN1 AUTREY was born WFT Est. 1815-1835, and died Bef. 1950. That's what's so great about visiting different web sites as we have time, you never know what surname you will find connected to another surname.:) Just because I'm an AUTREY now, and have dedicated most of my research on the Absalom and Elizabeth family in Dubach, La., others forget to realize I also have the MITCHELL families back to the 1700's, and so much more to add on the Autrey connections. I love the Autrey Web ring Andrea has set up for us, we need to help promote this so we can all connect and make everyone aware all that is available to us through Andrea's efforts on this huge undertaking of this data site for us to gather and share with each other. Please, if anyone has a web site with Autrey/Autry information, regardless of how much or how little, please let us know so we can visit each other. Thanks Andrea for all the hard work, and to all the Autrey/Autry/ et and all, for all who so generously share with each other. Personally, I think we are a great bunch of people!
I went to Donna's website hoping to make an Autry connection, and to my surprise I did make a connection, but it wasn't on my AUTRY line! It was through Edward BALL and Mary Dodge; Mary Dodge's Ggrandfather is my 8th great grandfather. What a small world. Hello everyone, It has been a while since I've posted this information to the list, so thought I'd send it through again. I have been forced to severely limit my time on my work, but I will answer all correspondence. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before I can get back full time. If you can trace your family back to any of these families, please contact me as this is a major line in my research. I also have dedicated a space on my web site for the historical and genealogical study of this particular family. If you have information to share, please contact me. Many of these families or their descendants moved to Coryell, Bowie, McLennan and other counties in Texas. The Autrey family has been traced back to Autrey, France, and to NC, Al., Ga., La., and Ok. and on to Ca. You are invited to visit my site and visit the Autrey French Connection.
