3. The Mahon Public Library may have a copy in its genealogy section. My Autrey relatives live close to Lubbock and when I visited them I looked at their personal copy. Then I ordered mine, so I don't know if this library has one or not. You could try. They have a good gen. library within the main library. Right down town. Pat A. 1. Re: [AUTRY] Tyler Co. Texas family.
2. Here is another Autry family, from the 1850 Tyler Co. Texas Census Perhaps it will help someone. Found a William C. Autry/Autrey in the 1850 Tyler Co, TX census. He was 25, farmer born in NC; his wife, Narcissa, 23 b. MS; his daugher, Sarah A., 3 b. TX; his son, William C. Jr., 1 b. TX and I would GUESS his sister-in-law, Martha Rotan, 14 b. MS. The handwriting was a bit difficult to read, so am not sure if the 'e' was in the surname or not. If anyone relates to this family I will get you the census page numbers and try to find the marriage date for you. Cheers, Diane G.

2. This Green Awtry was a son of Isaac and Arminta Bankston Awtry and grandson of Absalom and Lucy Awtry all of Georgia. From Coosa County, AL in 1850 this family (Green or Greenberry) moved to Loundes County, Mississippi. I do not know anything about the John McAwtry, but doubt that he was related. ----- Original Message ----- From: <BerthaElen@aol.com> To: <AUTRY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 23, 2002 10:07 PM Subject: [AUTRY] can anyone help Calvin Smith if so send him an email THANKS > Subj: Coosa Co Awtreys > Date: 2/22/02 9:41:42 PM Central Standard Time > From: User102935 > To: BerthaElen > > > Bertha, > While looking through the Coosa Co, Al census of 1850 I ran > across the following in the Hatchett Creek Dist; Green Awtry age 48, Born > Ga.
