I am looking for more information on the son of Sarah Autry and Ransford B Stowell. His name was William Arthur Stowell. I believe he had been married twice and had a daughter from each marriage. He was born in 1886 in Nebraska and died in 1954 in Los Angeles, CA. He is burried in Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery, Utah. Sarahs' Father was William M Awtry b. 1831 Kentucky. Her mother was Margarite McKinney (I think!). Unfortunately, that's all I have on this part of my family. I am hoping to find information on William Stowells' first family. I would like to know who they are. Thanks again! Shirley

Giles Autry, born SC 1800 lived in Ohio County KY and left and went to Marion Co Iowa in 1844. He had a son William, born in 1830 KY. It is feasable that this William could have been the father of your Sarah, but that is just a lead. I have in my records that William married Margaret McKinney, in 1851, in Jasper Co IOWA. I have one child listed, Mary Letitia Autry, born 5/5/1858. Incidently Letitia was the name of Giles wife. (Letita Miller).
