I can't understand why I didn't see it before. Usually I receive an e-mail notice when someone replies to one of my messages. That didn't happen in this case. And, it's been a while since I worked on my Autry line. Anyway, I finally saw your message. That is interesting about your G-G-G-Grandmother Mary Campbell Autry. I knew she lived with her daughter, but I didn't know she was blind. We visited the cemetery in Holladay a few years ago, and found her grave. We were vacationing in Tennessee and detoured through "Autry" territory. I still looking for the brothers of William A. Autry. I think William A. was the uncle of my G-G-Grandfather John A. Autry, but I can't find any info on William's siblings. There was an Ephraim Autry on the 1850 Carrol Co., Census who may have been my John A.'s father, and William's brother, but I'm having trouble finding info on him. Seems his mother was Clarry Culbreth and father Newsom Autry but the wording of Newsom's will stikes me with some confusion. Is there any question regarding who Marshall Thomas Autry's father was? The will says Clarry's sons as if the 3 sons were HERS only from a previous marriage or ??? Also is it known who Clarry Culbreth's parents were? And Marshall Thomas Autry married Emeline Jones.... do you know anything of her family?

I also am descended from William and his son Newsom A. Autry, Sr. through Newsom Autry, Jr., his son Calton(aka Calvin) and Calton's son James ( my great grandfather). Marshall Thomas Autry was my (half) 3rd great granduncle. Much of Marshall's family as well as Marshall himself lived and is buried off Maxwell Road in the Eastover Township( Flea Hill) of Cumberland County, NC. Marshall's tombstone is in an old Geddie Family cemetery in the woods near there. Unfortunately, it was too dark there to get a good picture of it.
