The big issue is that autosomal DNA is more difficult to understand and work with than yDNA. Even worse, except for GEDmatch, Dr Pike's site and a few others there is no really useful software yet. Half million to million line spreadsheets really stretch what a spreadsheet can do. I expect that SQL is the ultimate answer. Still, for me, this journey started in NOV 2009 with the 23andMe beta.
