    2. Hello, I am curious to how much research time you would spend or how many generations back you would try to go on an in-laws line? I did the test on a cousin and I am related to him on his fathers line. I have some research on his mothers line but I don't want to spend a lot of time researching the mothers line as it doesn't help me with my goals, however I don't want to just put up half of a pedigree. Also I will be managing the kit so if people contact me about the unrelated lines how do you handle this. Thank you Ann G.

    2. Hi Ann, I have several kits I manage that I have not researched nearly as completely as my own ancestry. I try to research enough to give someone the first few surnames and then wait for someone to inquire further. The few inquiries I've had so far have been satisfied with the details I share, which gives them individuals that appear on the 1940 and earlier census so they can research them if they want to find more on those other branches. There is often value in researching lines that lived in the same region and I do some filling in of the trees as I get time but the majority of my time is focused on the lines I am personally researching as there are so many of those.
