    3. I once thought this about a cousin's other line but later found it ancestral to me since cousins married cousins. In my case, since we are Ashkenazi, both of my parents and each of my in-law's are all related to each other, to some extent, and my father, mother's father and father-in-law are extremely close on the Y-DNA (Ashkenazi Levite - possible Khazarian royalty convert?). In my case, going back on my in-law's will connect with me. Not sure I will ever find the records that take me back to that point, though.
