    3. Dear Linda, Anyone managing an atDNA project with a large number of members faces the same issues you do. The best approach is to start mapping the chromosomes of all of your project members as best as you can. This is a challenging undertaking because there aren't any automated mapping tools at this point. It helps a lot if all of your project members are one parent/one child pairs or two parent/one child trios. In my opinion it is best of all atDNA projects are coordinated. AtDNA projects should be grouped by ethnicity and by region. There is a lot of overlap between the various different projects. To maximize the mapping you need to coordinate this process with other administrators. At this point, I think that the key thing to do initially is to make sure you have complete pedigree charts for all of your atDNA project members. Then pick some smaller goals such as trying to figure out how certain project members are related to each other if there is genetic evidence for that and if the genealogical relationship is not know. The larger long term goals such as large scale mapping will likely need to come in the future as we get more people tested and as automated phasing and mapping tools are developed. If you have additional questions that weren't addressed at the conference I would suggest you post your questions on this list. Or if anyone from the list attended. As an admin of a Project with 50=+ members, I'm trying to determine where to go from here. I've tons of questions, wish I could have been there to listen and/or to ask. Linda Boorom
