I just added a 12th cousin to my family's FF matching table, and I think it illustrates well the *typical* usefulness of aDNA testing: http://dgmweb.net/DNA/aDNA/FF_DAVIS-RAMSEY_CLARK-JONES.html#matches Most of the matching is between the eight descendants of Thomas THOMPSON & Delilah DAVIS, who are four to six generations removed from them. Step back one generation, to Delilah's parents, and the number of matches falls off. Step back another generation, to Delilah's paternal grandparents, and there's no matching, at all. By chance, there's one distant match with Delilah's maternal grandparents. Please feel free to link to this page, if you wish.
