Linda Yes - on each physical area of a chromosome, you can expect to find two Common Ancestors with your Matches - one ancestral to each of your parents. When you have a shared segment, you don't know which of your two chromosomes it's on. Even Triangulation doesn't tell you which one, unless you Triangulate with a known relative.
