Yes, my son had a segment match today at 3 cM and just 281 SNPs.  He and his mother matched the person on chromosome 3 (8 cM with 1175 SNPs for my wife and 9 cM and 1278 SNPs for my son), but my wife didn't meet the threshold for the chromosome X match.
