    1. GREEN and ASKEW 1906
    2. Joan Ann Powell
    3. Hello, My name is Joan Powell and I live in Queensland. I have been asked by an e-friend in England to see if I can help trace some of her ancestors. Unfortunately very little is known about dates but if anyone can help in any way she will, I am sure, be grateful. I have already posted the section about ASKEW to the New South Wales Mailing List. Here is what she has told me. Annie GREEN, b.1877, England, Arthur GREEN, b.ca.1883-5, England and Alice GREEN, b.1881, England migrated to New Zealand in 1906. Very little is know about Alice GREEN but it is thought that she stayed in New Zealand, despite the fact that there is an undated postcard showing her in Bondi. But she could have been there visiting her sister Annie (see below). Arthur GREEN: Here is what I received on him: "I think he married a lady called Mary and they lived in New Zealand. The address I have for him is Mr Arthur Green, 20 Mudie St, Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand. I think he had a child called Agnes Alexandra. There is an address in my grandmothers old book for a Mrs Agnes Adams, 40 Moody Street , Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand". Annie GREEN married George ASKEW and moved to Australia. George already had children, one of which was named Percy. Only one child is known born to Annie and George and her name was Grace. In an old address book there is the name Mrs.Grace Wilkins, 695 Hing Street, Sydney, and this is thought to be their daughter, Grace ASKEW. Annie ASKEW died in the late 1960's and there is an envelope with this address: Mr E P Askew 17-353 Victoria Place, Drummoyne. NSW.2047. Possibly either one of George's sons, or a son of Annie and George. Looking forward to someone being able to turn up any BMD on this family. Thank you. Joan Powell, Queensland
