Hi Noticed emails regarding arrivals and involvement in mining. My GGF Henry Meyers lost his fortune in Thames and Coromandel gold and silver mining. Anthony Dorn married Jane Woods in Jersey and went to Australia. That is my lineage. Some of his siblings went to New Zealand, Christchurch and Nelson. Have joined NZSG and purchased CD's but nothing about William Dorn, brother of Anthony who died in Nelson. Visited New Zealand north island in October, found several relatives but no Dorn's. Hi John, Presume you are just looking at the DORN name in NZ. What years? There are men of that name in the South Island and one in the North in 1915 none of them with the christian names you have given and none with occupations as miners.cheers Leo.

On the map - above Christchurch and below Kaikoura on the east coast of south island.
