    3. Thanks Diane, That gives me a start with Agnes at least and thanks for the info on the CDs that could be a help too. I live in a tiny little town in Western Victoria that has less than 1000 people and we only have a very small library with a very limited genealogy section. The nearest town that would possibly have it is 100km away and with one child still to start school its not possible to go and search at the moment. Thanks again for the info its greatly appreciated Sam Vic, Aust -----Original Message----- From: australia-new-zealand-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:australia-new-zealand-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of Diane Wilson Sent: Saturday, 13 October 2007 11:53 AM To: australia-new-zealand@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [AUSTRALIA-NEW-ZEALAND] New to the list Hi Sam I see you will have a lot of NZ research with all the lines you mention. If you do not live near a library which has these resources maybe you could consider purchasing the various CD;s published by the NZSG Marriages 1836 to 1956 Cost $25 NZ Burial locator Cost $40 NZ 1893 Electoral roll ( first with women listed) cost $ 40 NZ 1881 Electoral roll ( first with all men getting vote) cost $25 NZ They are a very good basis for NZ research. >From the marriages CD this is a possible for Agnes Butler Year 1875 Folio 1539 Surname BUTLER Given Names Mary Agnes Sex F Spouse JOHNSON Year 1875 Folio 1539 Surname JOHNSON Given Names Charles Sex M Spouse BUTLER Hope this helps Diane Wilson -----Original Message----- From: australia-new-zealand-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:australia-new-zealand-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of Sam Gibb Sent: Saturday, 13 October 2007 1:37 p.m. To: AUSTRALIA-NEW-ZEALAND@rootsweb.com Subject: [AUSTRALIA-NEW-ZEALAND] New to the list Hi everyone, I joined this list in the hopes of getting some help and guidance in searching for my NZ ancestors. I am searching MEYER, MOORE, BUTLER, and HOWARTH, some of the MEYER family (my direct line) moved to Australia in the 1920's. At the moment I am hoping to fine some info on my BUTLER's. Catherine Margaret BUTLER and Agnes BUTLER arrived in NZ on bord the WAITANGI which arrived in Auckland on the 20/11/1874. (there where also other Butlers on bord but I yet to work out if they are related) Catherine had twin boys in 1875 to Alfred Anthony MEYER, who she married in Auckland on 15/5/1876, They had 12 children one of which was Sydney Royden MEYER (my G Grandfather) I have no idea what happened to Agnes BUTLER and I would love to find out. If anyone could give me any help or advice on how to find her I would be very grateful. TIA Sam VIC, Aust No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
