Burial records dating back to 1891 at Karori Cemetery, and 1965 at Makara Cemetery, are available for public viewing at the Karori Cemetery office. The office also holds records dating back to 1849 of interments at Bolton Street Cemetery, now Bolton Street Memorial Park. The cemetery holds records for 151,409 people who have been interred or cremated. Records can be searched by plot location or name. There is also an entry on NZ Marriages 1836 - 1956 CD for: Emily LABONE married James DILLON 1918 #3662 this may be your Emily who has remarried??! I also noticed on another CD, a Leonard Harcourt LABONE who might be a son of Oliver Harcourt LABONE. He has Probate/a WILL available at Archives NZ - Wellington office and that might give you further info on family. If you need more details/reference please come back to me. Hi Sandra, Many thanks for this info. I was aware that Emiley's (sic) first husband Oliver Harcourt Labone, came back to the UK to re-marry an then went back to NZ to marry again - must have been an energetic chap! So it's quite possible that Emiley remarried as your details suggest. Also, Leonard Harcourt Labone WAS the son of Emiley and Oliver. He was born 21 Feb 1883 in the UK and died 21 Nov 1942 at Wellington. There were at least another two children from the original marriage - Marie Labone d: 28 Aug 1904 and Walter Edward Labone d: 17 Jan 1953, both at Wellington. Thank you so much for your help.
